If you or a loved one are struggling with disordered eating, poor body image, frequent dieting or compulsive exercise, it can feel like it’s taking over your life. Common diagnoses I treat include Binge Eating Disorder, Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED) and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), as well as other known issues such as Orthorexia and Exercise Addiction.
As a therapist specializing in eating disorders since 2014, I know how complex and challenging recovery can be. I also know that people of all genders, ages, cultures and walks of life can suffer from eating disorders. Messages about food and body image are everywhere in our culture, and often times they can reinforce disordered thoughts and behaviors. In the face of so much noise, I can help you tune into your true voice. Together, we'll explore the underlying factors driving your eating disorder and develop a personalized treatment plan that will enable you to cope in a healthy way.
Recovery is possible with evidenced-based treatment, and you deserve to get better and live a full, authentic life free from an eating disorder. One of the most important factors in achieving full recovery is having support, in the form of family, friends and often a multi-disciplinary treatment team. I will work with you and other members of your support team to address not only the symptoms of your eating disorder but also the underlying issues, empowering you to cultivate a healthier relationship with food, body and self.
